A Paladero is a protecter of the the kingdom in times of war and in peace time they are dinosaur herders.
Joss has always dreamed of being a Paladero and now the chance has arisen. He has to go on the Way, a treacherous journey though the kingdom to find a Questing egg.
With his brethren by his side he will go up against witches, monsters and even his own brethren, all the while under covering a dark conspiracy in the heart of the kingdom.
