Joss has always wanted to be a Paladero and now he has the chance! He and his Brethen have to travel to the Northern Tundra to continue their training. Pirates raid the village he is staying in and Edgar is taken.
No one knows were he was taken except maybe someone from Drakes childhood in the Northern Tundra.
From there Joss gets information that the captives have been taken to an underwater city. In the end it will be up to what matters more to Joss, his friend or his future? He must decide for time is growing short for Edgar.
Another easy read, exciting with intrigue but lacking depth of vocabulary.
